This baseball season, Yankees fans can for the first time take Metro-North to a station that is now nearing completion near the new Yankee Stadium in the Bronx's Concourse Village.

SEPTA has big plans to alleviate the headaches many commuters face every weekday at one popular train station in Montgomery County. But those plans may not get very far if local residents get their way. On the Wyncote side of the Jenkintown SEPTA station, where commuters park, she couldn't find a single open parking space Friday.

That's why SEPTA wants to build a giant parking garage on the site. The idea, however, is turning out to be about as popular as a fare increase.
